The Bobby Brown of Urban England or nothing more than a soon to be jail bird with a wonky flat top from Leicester a place famous for producing Emile Heskey, Showaddywaddy and Lisa Lashes? Either way he promised he would return and he has, singing at the top of his voice, vocals as clipped as his hair do and riding on the back of a low slung Stallion named Duff Disco.
Captain Stearne stumbled across Thomass Jackson during one of his recent expeditions into uncharted musical waters, and after a brief exchange of messages on Soundcloud, we were lucky enough for him to send us a guest mix for the show

I’ve been told “You need to check out Caribou!” on more than one occasion, but me being me, I’ve just said “Yeah, sounds great, I’ll definitely check them out” and instantly forgotten all about them. Soooo, when I heard this track on soundcloud, I couldn’t be sure whether I instantly loved it because the original track was so good, or whether the Steady M (The Ghost of Susquehanna) re-edit had transformed it into a lovely summertime monster. Reading this, you’re probably wondering why I’ve not had a quick google and checked for myself. Here I am, typing this, and yeah, maybe I should!
Okay, so yeah, the original track is amazing, and I’m kicking myself for not discovering it earlier, but full props to The Ghost of Susquehanna for giving it a little touch up, posting it up on soundcloud and bringing it to my attention.. JOB WELL DONE!
Download is in the player for you lucky lucky lot..
Knew I *had* to have this as soon as I heard it. Classic QVC teamwork – Captain Stearne had been playing the Black Van track for a while, and it just works perfectly with the Stevie Nicks accapella.
Download in the player above.
It can be heard on our recent promo mix for meadows in the Mountains here:
This label has become a new favourite here at QVC HQ, some smooth groove sounds with that 80′s electro vibe with it to perfectly compliment the finished product that will definitely be featuring in our sets coming soon!
This release from Thomass Jackson is a stonking bit of kit, serious funk and soul peppering the dancefloor vibe that goes through the whole e.p, check it out here:
Distant Memories is the latest release, and its yet another journey through the bleepy, funky, disco, cosmic world that Berlitz inhabit and have decided to show us, its definitely a journey worth taking!
Super glitched out jazzy noodlings from Jimmy Edgar.. Not the kind of thing I could get away with playing at QVC, but maybe one for afterwards, in a dark cave somewhere…
Well…. What can I say? After a evening of getting absolutely ‘refreshed’ at The Empress, Mr Frosty and I attempted to record this here radio show. After about 3 false starts, I decided it was getting too late to keep restarting, so here you go, a very dodgy performance from us guys..
Luckily for you listeners, however, I stumbled across a couple of guys from Denver, going by the name of Black Amex, who were kind enough to supply us with a guest mix for the show, so you’ve got at least an hour’s worth of decent mixing before we stumble our way through the last half hour wearing the aural equivalent of beer goggles. Beer Earplugs? BEERPLUGS?
